Biography:

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (born May 20, 1983) more popularly known as Jr. NTR or just NTR, is an Indian film actor. He is the grandson of the Late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, who was a legendary actor and former chief minister or Andhra Pradesh. He is fondly called as Tarak by his family, friends and close associates. Rao was born and brought up in Hyderabad; his parents are Harikrishna Nandamuri and Shalini. He went to Vidyaranya School in Hyderabad, and later to St Rakesh's Junior College. He has a sister and two brothers, Kalyan Ram and Janaki Ram. His uncle Balakrishna Nandamuri is also famous actor. A reputed Kuchipudi artist.

Filimography:

As a child artiste he acted in his grandfather's film 'Brahmarshi Viswamithra' in the year 1993. Like Legend NTR who is the best in playing mythological roles, he played Lord Rama role in M.S. Reddy's Bala Ramayanam with an all-child cast released in 1997. NTR first movie as a hero was Ushakiron movies "Ninnu choodalani" released in the year 2000. Written off by critics in his first film, he made a striking comeback with the film Student No.1 which was released after 4 months.
The movie went on to become an instant hit with both classes
and masses. However it was Aadi that catapulted him in to the big league. Suddenly the critics took notice of this wiry young man and opined that there are sparks of his grandfather in him. Aadi had stood as blockbuster of the year 2002. Aadi not only had created records, but also put him in the top league of actors. His next big blockbuster Simhadri stabilized his status as the next mass hero of tollywood. With only eight films to his credit, NTR is already claimed as a mass and heart winner, he has a track record that gives quivers to even seasoned actors. Still in his early twenties, NTR is already a highly successful, a very sought after artist, and is the heartthrob of millions. He has high voltage energy; enthusiasm and command in action, dances, fights and the charm to pull masses.

Then he delivered a fantastic hit with Simhadri.Then came few flops in his career. His Rakhi drew admirable reviews from fan and critic alike, wonderstruck with the scintillating beauty of his performance. No wonder,he is considered "The Legend in the making". He is exceptional in dancing and delivering speedy long dialogues. Fans go crazy watching his dance. Rao began his career as a child actor and dancer. He made his first film, Ninnu Choodalani, in 2001, but it failed to perform well at the box office. He went on to gain fame with Student No. 1 (also released in 2001), directed by S.S. Rajamouli, followed by Subbu and Aadi. In January 2003, Rao's film Naaga performed poorly, even though it was produced by one of India's finest producers, A.M. Ratnam. However, in July 2003 Simhadri became the highest grossing film of the year in Tollywood, and made Rao and director Rajamouli household names. His first release of 2004, Andhrawala, did not do well at the box office, though the next film, Samba, did better, and was at the top of the box office for fifty days. In 2005 his two releases, Naa Alludu and Narasimhudu, both did either badly or averagely at the box office. In 2006, his film Ashok had a good opening, but did not appease his fans. His most recent film is Rakhi, which has proved a success at the box office, and has gained Rao good reviews. The film was directed by Krishna Vamsi, and co-stars Ileana D'Cruz and Charmme Kaur. Built upon a bedrock of respect for his family & commitment towards excellence, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, is an embodiment of greatness. He is the finest actor of his generation and gives his illustrious seniors a run for their glory. 14 films, 24 years, actor, dancer, singer… he is a humanitarian non-pareil. A synonym of majesticity on screen and simplicity off it, he is the darling of the masses, benefactor to the needy, and a brother to all Telugu kinsfolk. His latest film YamaDonga did Rs 24 crore buisiness, which is a rare feet(crossing 20crore mark buisiness) in telugu done twice by NTR.

Despite his legendary origin, it's not been a cakewalk for Taarak (he loves being called like that). But, impact he has made with stellar performances in each successive film. Though his biggest asset is his striking resemblance to granpa Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and father Nandamuri Hari Krishna, he knows looks alone aren't enough over here but, acting skills are...He takes the script home and enacts his scenes, a day in advance in front of mom Shalini.Taarak considers himself blessed for being born into the Nandamuri family as a heir to the legend NTR. Getting into the industry has been a childhood passion but he wants to live that day, when his parents and family will be proud of him.When asked, what message would you like to give to fans, he modestly says, "I'm too young to give any message to those who've so much respect and love for the Nandamuri family and me. I simply bow my head to them".
